Job description
Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. nReporting to the Program Control/Finance Manager, this is a key role provides financial oversight, analysis and reporting of variance types of programs. In close collaboration with the program team, this role will influence good decision making for the program, company and customer. Responsibilities will include establishing cost baselines, EAC development, analysis of contract task orders, labor analysis, subcontract finances, purchase requests, EBITDA and revenue forecasting. Knowledge of Earned Value Management is a plus and will help provide performance information to the program and management team. Regular coordination with Finance, Contracts, Project Management, and other teams to develop and present program financial reporting. The role prepares ad hoc reports and analyses as required.
nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
nnnContribute to program cost forecast and budget management
n
nnKeep the program team current regarding its upcoming activities, deadlines, and milestones
n
nnPerform schedule-based risk analysis on the company’s projects
n
nnHelp evaluate risks and risk mitigation plans to determine if the risks are appropriate and risk mitigations are adequate
n
nnProduce and review ad-hoc project-level projections, graphs, and reports for both internal/external stakeholders.
n
nnPerform analysis and prepare reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
n
nnSets up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
n
nnSupport audits and reviews requests from programs, customers, and company management, fact-finding and negotiation support.
n
nnEnsures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
n
nnSupport the preparation and coordination of financial forecasting and reporting, Annual Operating Plan and Resource Plan
n
nnStreamline data collection, modeling, and management practices.
n
nnContribute Financial information to the monthly program review
n
nnSupport the preparation of business proposals to the US Government and industry
n
nnSupport compliance with contractual requirements and internal procedures.
n
nnSupport preparation invoices, familiarity with CPFF, T&M and FFP contracts is preferred
n
nnUnderstanding of EVMS and government CPR reporting a plus
n
n nQUALIFICATIONS
nnnBachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience or equivalent experience
n
nnExperience in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) a plus
n
nnKnowledge of program management or operational workflow
n
nnAbility to support program management, integration, and control strategies
n
nnAbility to work cross-functionally with technical and functional departments
n
nnAbility to support decision-making and conflict resolution
n
nnAbility to work and communicate with a diverse group
n
nnFamiliarity with Costpoint, COBRA, or other established EVM systems
n
nnExcellent interpersonal communication skills
n
nnExperience in Business Consulting, Engineering, or Finance
n
nnExperience in government contracting
n
nnExperience in Data Analytics and Visualization (Kronos, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
n
nnExperience with FAR/DFAR Cost Account Standards (CAS)
n
nnExpertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
n
nnAbility to obtain Secret clearance
n

nnThis position is full-time onsite in Mojave, CA or remote (must maintain Pacific Time Zone work schedule)
