Job description
St. Petersburg, FL
Summary: Reporting to the VP/GM, qualified candidate coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of assigned company customers and programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Coordinates preparation of proposals, plans, specifications and financial conditions of contracts
* Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules
* Develops solutions to program problems to assure programs are completed within time and budget constraints
* Prepares reports for senior management to track progress and goals
* Responsible for the coordination and completion of programs utilizing a wide degree of creativity and independent judgment.
* Ensure strict adherence to aerospace industry quality management systems, safety regulations, and government export control laws (such as ITAR/EAR).
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related technical field.
* 6 to 10+ years of project or program management experience within the aerospike, defiance or high-tech manufacturing industries.
* Experience with complex multi-year programs involving Military Contractors or subcontract providers. Manufacturing experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
* Strong negotiating skills and tenacity in managing both people and programs
* Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
* Detail oriented with effective organization skills and ability to prioritize workload
* Ability to translate complex technical problems into basic terms both verbally and in written form
* Ability to read and interpret technical data packages, drawings and schematics
* Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within DoD environment
* Strong computer skills with EXCEL and POWER POINT
* Ability to communicate in a cross-functional production environment
* Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Working Environment:
* Extended periods of sitting and standing
* Constant access to production floor
* Constant use of computer and monitor
* Fast paced schedule conscious work environment
