Job Description
Data Center Network Deployment Program Manager | New Builds | Remote, US
Our client is bringing new data center campuses online at pace, and the network has to be cabled, provisioned and live on every one of them.
You would be the central coordination point for that work, from the day cabling starts until the building goes live.
You are the glue between design, engineering, construction and network deployment, and the person who makes sure everyone has committed to dates and keeps to them.
What you will do
Own the deployment tracker for your assigned buildings, with every milestone tracked from cabling readiness through to go-live
Run the weekly new build coordination calls, and lead or co-lead them from the start of cabling
Keep construction schedules and network schedules aligned, and track dependencies across the network layers
Publish weekly program updates covering new risks, milestones achieved and upcoming dates
Coordinate network deployment across two to four buildings at once
Track hardware delivery SLAs, material logistics and upstream dependencies, and work back from delivery timelines to spot schedule risk early
Raise and manage formal escalations for schedule risks and cross-team blockers, and escalate to leadership when commitments are not met
Help standardise templates across building types, run lessons-learned reviews, and mentor new team members
What we are looking for
5 to 8 years in project or program management across data center construction, network infrastructure, telecommunications or critical facility deployment
A strong understanding of data center network infrastructure and production network layers
Familiarity with network deployment steps: rack and stack, provisioning, circuit audits, device scanning and device activation
Knowledge of material logistics, including hardware delivery SLAs, BOM management, warehouses and vendor coordination
Experience with the construction phases of a data center, from foundation and cabling start through energisation, commissioning and network turn-up
Experience managing projects in the $1M to $10M range, with many parallel workstreams
Experience working with managed service providers and field operations teams in a data center
Hands-on use of AI tools or agentic workflows for reporting and automation
A track record of driving accountability, following up and not accepting “we’ll get to it next week” when a milestone is at risk
Clear, concise communication that turns multi-site status into a leadership readout
Who this is not for
If your program experience is software delivery, IT application rollouts or office IT projects, this role will not be the right fit. The same applies to construction project management with no network deployment content, or to coordination roles that never had to chase a date. Data center, hyperscale, colocation and telecom deployment backgrounds are very welcome.
Preferred
Hyperscale data center experience
PMP, CAPM or CSM
BICSI RCDD, CDCDP or a similar data center or cabling certification
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, telecommunications, computer science or a related field, or 8+ years of equivalent data center or network deployment experience
