Job description
Role Overview:
The Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Progressive Care Unit provides high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with acute respiratory and pulmonary conditions, including post-transplant and ventilator-dependent cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Educate patients and families on illness management, home care, and medication administration.
Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Develop and communicate individualized care plans, considering patient preferences and needs.
Maintain safety and alertness as this is a safety-sensitive role.
Qualifications & Skills:
RN license required; no prior experience necessary, but less than 2 years preferred for higher qualification.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
Additional Information:
The role involves 12-hour shifts on a 9-bed unit with private rooms, a 3:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, and rotating weekends and holidays.
