Job description
The Registered Nurse in this role provides high-quality patient care within a specialized unit managing acute medical conditions such as lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, and ventilator weaning. Working closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, nurses develop and implement individualized care plans, assess physical and psychosocial needs, and educate patients and families on managing their health post-discharge. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation.
Educate patients and families on illness management, medication, and post-treatment care.
Participate in safety and quality initiatives, regulatory compliance, and professional development.
Develop and document individualized care plans with collaborative communication across care teams.
Assess physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing; RN licensure required.
No prior experience necessary; preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with 2+ years of experience.
Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism.
