Job description
Position Summary
nThe Associate Project Accountant is assigned to a smaller construction project(s) and partners with the Project Management team to assure timely and accurate accounting and risk management throughout the project life cycle.
nPosition Details
nnnEnsure accurate reporting of financial information and timely invoicing pertaining to a particular project. Maintains project-related ledger accounts.
n
nnDisseminates month-end project reports to management and relevant business lines.
n
nnMaintains list of month-end deadlines and ensure that profit and cash flow forecasts are prepared on time and accurately.
n
nnReviews project forecasts on a regular basis and ensure any outstanding matters are dealt with on a timely basis.
n
nnMaintains project register. Prepares month-end posting/ allocations and accruals. Controls the accounts payable and receivable tasks for the project.
n
nnIdentifies and assists with the resolution of basic project-related accounting issues.
n
nnEnsures policies and procedures for project accounting are adhered to.
n
n nQualifications
nnn1-3 years’ of project accounting experience preferred
n
nnBasic accounting knowledge
n
nnGood organization skills with high level of attention to detail
n
nnGood written and verbal communication skills
n
nnGood customer service skills
n
nnGood analytical skills
n
nnAbility to prioritize and multi-task
n
nnAble to analyze and resolve basic issues
n
nnAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

nnComputer proficiency and technical aptitude with intermediate level ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. required
