Position: Project Accountant Location: Broward County, FL
Salary: $90,000 - $95,000
Company Overview
A high-end commercial construction company specializing in luxury restaurants, hospitality, and experiential builds is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join its team in Broward County, Florida.
Position Summary
Responsible for project billing, accounts payable, job cost reporting, contract administration, and project closeout.
Key Responsibilities
Manage project setup, contracts, and financial documentation.
Prepare monthly AIA billings and client invoices.
Maintain budgets, commitments, POs, and change orders.
Process subcontractor invoices and project AP.
Monitor job costs and assist with financial reporting.
Support month-end accounting activities.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Project Accountant experience working for a General Contractor (GC).
Experience with U.S.-based commercial construction projects.
Demonstrated longevity and stability with prior employers.
Strong construction accounting and job costing experience.
Experience with AIA billing, subcontract administration, and change orders.
ComputerEase preferred; Procore a plus.
Important Note
Candidates must have Project Accountant experience working directly for a General Contractor (GC). Experience working exclusively for subcontractors will not be considered.
