Path Construction is seeking a qualified Project Accountant to join our organization in the Chicago, IL area and be part of the accounting team. We are a rapidly growing general contractor headquartered in Arlington Heights, IL with additional offices in Scottsdale, AZ and Charlotte, NC with projects throughout the United States.

nRequirements
nnnSet-up new project in Job Cost System
n
nnProcess payroll, insurance, and overhead allocations to projects
n
nnProcess, review and track general ledger posting of construction draws for multiple projects
n
nnEnsure Subcontractor/Suppliers Waivers of Lien are received and correct
n
nnEnsure all Path Compliance requirements for W-9’s, Insurance Certificates, EEO, and other documents are met by Subcontractors and Suppliers
n
nnProcess accounts receivable and understand the construction billing and collections process
n
nnAssist in the follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable invoices and ensure positive cash flow for the company and its’ subcontractors/suppliers
n
nnAssist with special projects as requested
n
nnEnsure contracts and change orders are processed accurately and timely
n
nnAnalyze project variances and work with the project team to ensure corrective action is taken
n
nnReport on project profitability to management
n
nnWork closely with our customers to ensure their reporting needs are met
n
nnClose out project accounts upon project completion
n
nnCreate and submit government reports and tax returns related to projects
n
nnCompile information for external auditors, as required
n
n nQualifications:
nPath Construction is looking for someone with the rights skills and attitude with relevant experience and skills including:
nnnA college degree in accounting/business administration is desired, but equivalent experience in these fields will be considered
n
nnMinimum of 2-5 years previous experience, preferably in a construction project cost environment
n
nnExceptional customer service and communication skills, communicating with all levels in the organization
n
nnStrong PC skills including proficiency in Excel, Sage Construction CRE 300, and Paychex a plus
n
n nBenefits
nnnAnnual Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000
