nThe Project Accountant supports construction project accounting by managing project billing, collections, accounts receivable, and related records. This role works closely with Project Managers, clients, vendors, and the finance team to ensure accurate billing, timely follow-up, and effective communication throughout the life of each project.nWhat You'll Do
nnManage project billings and collections in accordance with contract requirements.
nMonitor project accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
nPrepare billing documentation and support timely invoice processing
nTrack unbilled amounts, billing status, and related project accounting records
nAnalyze and prepare reports related to project costs, billings, budgets, and projections.
nSupport project setup activities and maintain project accounting records.
nFollow established billing procedures and contractual requirements.
nReview billing documentation for completeness and accuracy.
nnReview, collect, and maintain Certificates of Insurance (COIs) from subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with contractual and company insurance requirements.n
nSupport compliance with company policies and project accounting best practices.
nCommunicate regularly with Project Managers regarding billing status, collections, and project accounting matters.
nCoordinate with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing and payment issues.
nInvestigate and resolve billing discrepancies through timely follow-up and documentation.
n nWhat We're Looking For
nnAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
n1–3 years of accounting or finance experience required.
nConstruction accounting or project-based accounting experience preferred.nn
