Job description

Overview

nMG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a collaborative Project Accountant to join our team in Seattle, WA and support the financial health of multiple projects. In this role, you'll be responsible for project set up and closing, project budgets, entering contracts, managing expenses, and ensuring accurate, timely billing while partnering closely with project teams.

nResponsibilities

nnnWorks and actively engages with Project Managers and Project Administrators to set up and maintain projects in the accounting system according to Firm best practices and procedures.

n

nnReviews Owner contracts and Sub-consultant agreements to understand project scope and requirements.

n

nnEnsures the integrity of the project contract through approved scope changes.

n

nnSets up and maintains consultant contracts in accounting system.

n

nnPrepares Client invoices in an accurate and timely manner during the monthly billing cycle.

n

nnVerifies accuracy of invoice information, including fee type, coding, and allocations.

n

nnWorks collaboratively with Project Accounting team to achieve team goals and deadlines.

n

nnResearches and resolves unbilled activity.

n

nnMonitors and closes projects.

n

nnDistributes Client’s invoices, including uploading into Clients systems.

n

nnIssues project performance reports and identifies routine errors and potential issues.

n

nnParticipates in meetings and supports studio teams to manage projects profitably.

n

nnWorks with Project Manager's to resolve Client aged Accounts Receivable.

n

n nQualifications

nnnBachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business Administration or comparable experience.

n

nn0-3 years of accounting experience.

n

nnExperience with Microsoft office including but not limited to Microsoft Excel.

n

nn1+ years of Project or Job Costing experience is preferred.

n

nnExperience in Architecture, Engineering or Construction industry preferred.

n

nnExperience with billing and project accounting is preferred.

n

nnDeltek accounting system experience preferred.

n

nnAbility to interface with project managers, clients and architects.

n

nnAbility to effectively prioritize, organize workflows and juggle conflicting demands.

n

nnAbility to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

n

n nCompensation: $59,500 to $78,400 per year (depending on qualifications)
