Unleash your talent and redefine what's possible.Project AdministratorParsons is looking for an extremely self-motivated and accountable Project Administrator to support our Broward and/or Miami Planning offices. The successful candidate will work with PTG project managers, engineers and planners on transportation projects for various clients including the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Counties, municipalities, and metropolitan / transportation planning organizations. The project administrator will ensure project success by providing administrative support on various PTG contracts including but not limited to project research, arranging meetings, budgeting, providing documentation, reviewing invoices and preparing presentations among other tasks.Essential Functions:Support senior staff on existing projectsAssist senior staff with communicating findings from analyses/studies to clients/staffPreparing PowerPoint slide decks, meeting talking pointsAbility to assist senior staff answer questions if needed when presenting resultsPreparing or reviewing written reports and correspondenceDocumenting meeting summaries/minutesConduct available data research, planning policy and regulation research, and project background information review in order to gather project related information, identify problems and potential solutionsPerform Invoice Reviews including but not limited to:Verifying deliverables and/or performance of servicesVerifying billed items and/or services were not included in previously paid invoicesVerifying submitted costs are consistent with requirements in the contract (from which the invoice is paid), including contract ceilings, key personnel, subcontract costs, travel and equipmentVerifying Other Direct Costs (ODCs) have been properly substantiated and the costs are consistent with the requirements in the contractVerifying costs are allowable and allocable to the contractVerifying the invoiced period is within the period of performance of the contractVerifying all identifying data on the invoice (contract number, contractor name, address, date of invoice, etc) are accurateVerifying arithmetic calculations correctVerifying payments are within the ceilings established in the Limitation of CostPerform Quality Control TasksRequirements:A Bachelor's Degree, or higher, from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy;Minimum of two years' experience with project administration in the Transportation Engineering Field.Must possess a minimum of two years of professional business administration or accounting experience.Preferred Skills:Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Excellent organizational skills.Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgement abilities.Experience with accounting principlesExperience with professional accounting and auditing standards such as the Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Governmental Auditing Standards (GAGAS) will be a plusExceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Excellent interpersonal skills.Knowledge of principles of basic mathematics.Ability to collect, compile, summarize, and analyze project data from government work programs.Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.Ability to understand and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.Knowledge of Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards issued by U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is a plusMust be flexible and team player.Dependable, Reliable, PunctualSecurity Clearance Requirement: NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
