Project AssistantKansas City, MOOn-SiteCompensation: $20 - $25/hr (Contract-to-Hire)Our EPC client is seeking a detail-oriented Project Assistant to support engineering and construction projects in Kansas City, MO. This contract-to-hire position works closely with Project Managers and project teams to provide comprehensive administrative and project coordination support, maintain accurate project information, and help keep multiple project activities organized and on track. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to communicate effectively with project teams, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.Provide general administrative and project support for engineering and construction projectsAssist Project Managers and teams with project coordination and administrative needsOrganize and maintain project files, filing systems, documentation, and communicationsPerform project data entry and maintain project contact lists and execution plansTrack project status and maintain project tracking systemsPrepare monthly project progress reports and update record copies, engineering project documentation, and project changesResearch and provide information to support project-related questions and requestsRecord and distribute meeting minutes for Project Manager and project team meetingsAnswer phones, direct calls, and sort/distribute incoming mailCollect and distribute client bills and invoicesPrepare memos, correspondence, reports, and other project documentsCoordinate travel arrangements and other internal services to support project needsPrepare outgoing mailings, labels, emails, and faxesReserve conference rooms and coordinate client, vendor, and supplier presentations, meetings, and interviews, including setup and cleanupSchedule and coordinate client interviews, presentations, and other meetingsOrder and maintain office and project suppliesMaintain project calendars and team rostersAssist with clerical needs across projectsComply with company policies, procedures, and standardsPerform other duties as assignedHigh school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of office/clerical experience; OR Associate degree and 4 years of office/clerical experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of office/clerical experienceSome college coursework preferredAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPointStrong organizational and attention-to-detail skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced project environmentAbility to work independently, stay organized, and provide reliable support to Project Managers and project teamsProfessional maturity, strong follow-through, and ability to balance competing tasks and deadlinesBackground in coordination, logistics, customer-facing support, or administration is a plusSelf-starter, detail-oriented, and confident communicatorMedical, Dental, & Vision Plans (if eligible)Relationship-driven process to find your best fit6 Paid HolidaysRegular meetings to ensure quality in your engagementCompetitive medical, dental, vision, Health Savings Account, Dependent Care FSA, and supplemental coverage options401k plan with company match and full vesting after eligibilityEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) with services like virtual counseling, financial services, legal services, life coaching, etc.
