Job description
Project Assistant / Revit Production Specialist
Indigo Architecture | Weston, Florida
Indigo Architecture is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Assistant with strong Revit skills and construction-document production experience to support our Project Managers and senior architectural staff in the design, documentation, coordination, and delivery of commercial projects.
This is a hands-on architectural production role for someone who is proficient in Revit, understands how construction documents are developed and coordinated, and wants exposure to the full architectural process—from existing-condition documentation and design development through permitting and construction administration.
You will work directly with experienced Project Managers and firm leadership on active projects across Florida and other states, with opportunities to strengthen your technical expertise and take on greater project responsibility over time.
What You’ll Do
Assist Project Managers with projects from design development through permitting and construction administration
Produce and develop architectural construction-document sets in Revit
Translate sketches, redlines, markups, field information, and Project Manager direction into accurate architectural drawings
Develop floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, roof plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and other architectural documentation
Incorporate redlines and revisions accurately and efficiently
Coordinate plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and annotations throughout the drawing set
Assist with architectural detailing and documentation of building assemblies and project-specific conditions
Assist with code, accessibility, life-safety, and zoning research and documentation
Assist with permit submissions, plan review comments, drawing revisions, and resubmittals
Organize and maintain Revit models, project drawings, consultant files, PDFs, and related project documentation
Participate in field surveys, existing-condition documentation, site visits, and punch walks
Translate field measurements, existing drawings, photographs, and 3D scanning / reality-capture information into accurate existing-condition models and drawings
Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, ASIs, field reports, and drawing revisions
Perform quality-control checks of your own work for accuracy, coordination, dimensions, annotations, details, and completeness
Participate in internal project coordination meetings and, as experience develops, consultant and client meetings
Project Exposure
Indigo works across a diverse range of commercial project types, including:
Automotive dealerships and service facilities
Healthcare and medical facilities
Retail and restaurant
Parking structures
Mixed-use and multifamily
Industrial and warehouse
Office and commercial interiors
Municipal and public-sector projects
Our work includes both ground-up construction and renovations of existing facilities , giving Project Assistants exposure to a wide variety of building systems, construction types, and project conditions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related architectural field preferred
Approximately 2–5 years of professional architectural experience
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit required
Professional experience producing architectural construction documents required
Understanding of how a complete architectural construction-document set is developed and coordinated
Ability to work from sketches, markups, and redlines and translate them into accurate drawings

Familiarity with building codes, accessibility requirements, and life-safety concepts
Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
Strong organizational and file-management skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
Strong attention to detail and ability to review your own work for accuracy and completeness
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to take direction, ask questions when necessary, and follow assignments through to completion
Technical Skills
Candidates should have strong proficiency in:
Autodesk Revit
Architectural construction-document production
Revit model, view, sheet, schedule, and annotation management
PDF drawing review and markup
Consultant drawing and model coordination
Candidates should also be comfortable with or willing to develop proficiency in:
Bluebeam Revu
Microsoft Office
BIM-based project coordination
Existing-condition documentation and reality-capture workflows
Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM Collaborate, Autodesk Forma, Procore, Matterport, visualization software, or other architectural technology platforms is a plus but not required.
What We’re Looking For
Technical ability matters, but so does how you work.
The right person for Indigo is someone who is:
Strong in Revit — you can work efficiently in an active project model and contribute to construction-document production without needing basic Revit training
Experienced with construction documents — you understand that a drawing set must be accurate, coordinated, and complete, not simply drafted
Detail-oriented — small drawing errors matter, and you take pride in accurate work
Accountable — you take ownership of assignments and follow through
Organized — you can keep models, drawings, files, markups, and deadlines under control
Proactive — you identify missing information or coordination issues rather than simply waiting for direction
Receptive to feedback — you can take redlines and direction, execute them accurately, and use them to improve
Curious — you want to understand why something is designed or detailed a certain way, not simply copy it
Collaborative — you communicate well with Project Managers, consultants, and the rest of the team
Technology-minded — you are comfortable learning new tools and more efficient ways of working
Interested in growth — you want to strengthen your technical foundation and take on greater project responsibility over time
Why Indigo
Indigo is a growing architectural firm where team members have the opportunity to work directly with experienced Project Managers and firm leadership rather than being limited to one small piece of a project.
You’ll gain exposure to real projects, clients, consultants, permitting agencies, field conditions, and construction while continuing to strengthen your Revit, construction-document, and overall architectural experience.
We offer:
Direct access to firm leadership and experienced Project Managers
Hands-on construction-document experience
Exposure to projects from design through construction
Diverse commercial project types
Modern BIM and reality-capture technology
Opportunities for increasing responsibility as your skills develop
Professional development support
Paid time off and holidays
Long-term growth opportunities within the firm
For the right person, this position can provide a strong foundation for continued growth within Indigo, including opportunities to take on greater project coordination and management responsibilities over time.
Candidates may be asked to provide representative construction-document work samples demonstrating Revit proficiency and technical documentation experience.
