With over 100 years of innovation in sustainable infrastructure and our expertise in engineering, procurement, consulting and construction, together we are building a world of difference.The Opportunity as the Project Billing Associate, you will have the opportunity to:Be responsible for invoicing of assigned projects and ensure contract terms are followed regarding correct billing rates and schedulesWork closely with Project Accountants and Project Controls personnelAnswer Project Management questions regarding project billing criteria and invoice draftsWorks under close supervisionKey Responsibilities:Generates, audits and distributes draft invoices and/or credit memos to Project Management for review based on understanding of contractMay support project invoicing related analysis, as assigned by providing requested informationProvides support for client and annual Black and Veatch audit activitiesSupports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvementPreferred Qualifications:High school diploma preferredKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and Oracle, preferredKnowledge of Black and Veatch SystemsBasic Knowledge of percent complete accountingBasic Technical accounting knowledgeBasic Preferred Non-Technical Skills: Organizing Planning Written Communications Informing Peer RelationshipsMinimum Qualifications:Typically two years of experience or Bachelor's degree in relevant fieldAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.Black & Veatch endeavors to make accessible to any and all users.
