Role Description
EJ Smith Construction is looking for a talented Project Director that has a personal and professional interest in executing management of construction on large construction projects. This individual will report to the Project Executive and be responsible for implementing construction execution, processes and principles at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, TX. This is a great opportunity for a candidate interested in making a positive impact on the largest construction project currently in Texas.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Establishes operational objectives and work plans, delegates assignments to subordinate managers.
Reviews objectives to determine success of operation.
Develops, modifies, executes company policies that affect immediate operations and may have company-wide effect.
Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Oversees the administration of projects during the construction cycle including technical, financial, and client satisfaction.
Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of the planning, design and/or construction management activities and personnel under individual's direction on a day-to-day basis.
Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, architecture or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Plus ten (10) years of experience in a relevant role
Including two (2) years in a leadership capacity
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
