Job description
Lexicon offers a unique combination of capabilities. Our services include construction management, fabrication, erection, mechanical installation, and plant maintenance for heavy industrial, commercial, and roadway projects, as well as a full spectrum of golf course construction and management services.
Position Summary
The Project Director is responsible for overseeing the operational functions of Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Services and Project Controls Departments
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Coordinates daily work efforts for Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Services and Project Controls departments.
Ensures proper flow of information to and from project and that project deliverables are completed and turned over to client per project schedule.
Keeps adequate staffing per work load needs.
Interfaces with upper management on business development and departmental matters.
Ensures Project departments’ work performance efficiency by providing adequate and applicable tools.
The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
Performs non-essential duties as needed
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent with a BS degree in Engineering and/or a minimum of 10 years’ experience in an engineering department or project management. Supervisory experience preferred. Must possess excellent written/oral communication, mathematical, analytical and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and AutoCAD. Requires the ability to efficiently handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Demands
Must be able to sit and work directly on a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally. High pressure work environment. Light travel may be required. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
