Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Project Engineer in Flower Mound, TX. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support heavy civil construction operations from our Flower Mound, TX office on a permanent, full-time basis. The ideal candidate brings 12 or more years of construction experience with a strong background in project scheduling, cost management, subcontractor coordination, and owner relations. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field crews, and requires travel to assigned project sites on an as-needed basis.

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Salary: $120,000 to $130,000 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and execute scheduling for assigned heavy civil construction projects throughout the full project lifecycle.

Manage project revenue, cost, and cash flow to ensure alignment with budgetary and contractual requirements.

Contract, manage, and coordinate subcontractors and product vendors to support on-time project delivery.

Participate in the preparation and implementation of permanent design management and quality control programs.

Oversee project closeout activities to ensure timely and complete project delivery.

Maintain close contact and strong working relationships with client representatives and owner stakeholders.

Administer contracts and subcontracts and assist in overall operations planning.

Train and direct Field Engineers, providing guidance and performance oversight.

Support pre-construction planning processes and ensure alignment with project requirements.

Review engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is highly desired.

12 or more years of experience in construction, with a strong emphasis on heavy civil projects.

Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Excellent understanding of pre-construction and construction processes.

Demonstrated experience managing and directing field engineers or engineering staff.

Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with Primavera scheduling software is a plus.

Experience with Heavy Job and/or Heavy Bid is a plus.

Ability to work collaboratively with site superintendents, project managers, and field crews.

Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; travel to assigned project sites is required as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Frequently required to sit; regularly required to stand and walk throughout the workday.

Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Required to reach with hands and arms, and to climb or balance on uneven or elevated surfaces.

Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as conditions on project sites require.

Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to travel with luggage and transport materials and personal overnight supplies.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
