The Role
This position sits on the Integration / Technical Services team and is ideal for a well‑rounded, hands‑on engineer who enjoys autonomy, variety, and solving complex problems in real‑world client environments.
You’ll work independently at client sites across the DC–VA–MD region, acting as a trusted technical advisor and consulting, implementing, and supporting modern IT solutions end to end. Strong communication, time management, and ownership are critical, as this role directly impacts client satisfaction and long‑term relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing
Serve as a technical consultant for client projects and escalated issues across diverse environments
Travel to client sites throughout the DC Metro area to deliver hands‑on project work and advanced support
Design, implement, and troubleshoot infrastructure solutions (servers, virtualization, cloud, networking, security)
Diagnose and resolve complex, multi‑layered IT issues across platforms
Collaborate with internal teams to improve systems, processes, and client outcomes
Proactively monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to continually raise the bar
Technical Environment & Skills
VMware and Hyper‑V virtualization
Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory administration
Strong PowerShell scripting and automation
Azure and AWS cloud platforms
Network security and firewall configurations (Ubiquiti / pfSense experience is a plus)
Teams Rooms configuration
Familiarity with ConnectWise PSA, ScreenConnect, and IT Glue is a plus
