Job description
Location: Remote, U.S. | Eastern U.S. preferred | Extensive travel
Take ownership of sophisticated capital equipment from arrival onsite through installation, commissioning, validation, and customer training. My client is seeking a hands-on engineer who thrives in the field, solves challenging technical problems, and becomes the go-to resource customers rely on during critical equipment startups.

What You’ll Be Doing
Lead onsite installation, startup, commissioning, and customer training
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, instrumentation, and controls issues
Perform power-up, I/O testing, validation support, and field-service activities
Coordinate contractors, customers, Project Managers, and technical teams
Document commissioning activities, punch lists, reports, and equipment issues
About You
Strong AC/DC electrical troubleshooting and instrumentation skills
Experience reading schematics, P&IDs, and electrical/pneumatic interconnects
Hands-on experience with VFDs, motors, 4–20 mA circuits, and test meters
Familiarity with NFPA/NEC, Arc Flash safety, and industrial environments
Genuine road-warrior mentality and flexibility for extensive travel
