Job description
At InsCipher, our commitment to our customers is what drives us.
Ours is a culture of innovation and progress. We are a creative team of doers constantly striving to develop value-driven products and services for our customers.
Our ultimate goal is to become the trusted authority and leading partner for state departments of insurance, surplus lines associations, and brokers nationwide. We’re achieving that goal by enhancing every facet of our customers reporting and tax filings through education and innovative, streamlined compliance solutions.
We’re growing fast and want you to be a part of it!
We’re seeking an organized, proactive Project Manager to join our team. Reporting to the VP of Customer Success this remote role will be responsible for leading cross-functional internal projects from initial scoping through completion, including process improvements, system rollouts, and large, multi-department initiatives. This is a hands-on project management role that requires both coordinating the work of cross-functional contributors and actively completing project tasks when needed. The Project Manager will manage projects of varying size and complexity, maintain project plans, drive accountability, and keep stakeholders at every level informed and aligned while bringing the appropriate level of structure to keep work moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional projects of varying size and complexity, coordinating stakeholders, assigning tasks, and driving accountability while actively completing project tasks as needed, including routine operational work on smaller initiatives
Partner with executive sponsors and department leaders to scope internal projects, defining objectives, deliverables, success criteria, constraints, and ownership before work begins
Build and maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, resource needs, and roles and responsibilities, for projects ranging from quick-turn initiatives to multi-quarter, company-wide programs
Drive projects to completion by tracking progress, removing blockers, managing scope changes, and holding cross-functional contributors accountable to their commitments and deadlines
Coordinate project work across Customer Success, Filing Services, Accounting, Compliance, Product, Development, Sales, Finance, and other departments as applicable
Balance larger, strategic initiatives with smaller projects that may require direct execution of routine project tasks to keep work progressing toward completion
Communicate consistently and clearly with stakeholders across departments, tailoring status updates, risk escalations, and decision requests for audiences ranging from individual contributors to the C-suite
Facilitate project kickoffs, working sessions, and status meetings that produce clear decisions and next steps, and document outcomes to maintain accountability and follow-through
Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and interdependencies, escalating early when timelines, scope, or resources are at risk
Maintain visibility into the internal project portfolio, helping leadership prioritize competing initiatives and balance capacity across departments
Establish and continuously improve lightweight project management standards, templates, and tools that scale with the company’s growth
Lead post-project retrospectives to capture lessons learned and apply them to future initiatives
Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
4-year college degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
3+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional projects, preferably within a SaaS or technology environment
Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects of varying size and complexity
Demonstrated ability to operate as a hands-on project manager, balancing project coordination and stakeholder management with direct execution of project tasks as needed
Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders ranging from individual contributors to executive leadership
Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain structure and momentum across multiple concurrent projects
PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred
Insurtech or surplus lines experience preferred
Perks
Health, dental, and vision plans
Amazing work-life balance with 4 weeks of Paid Time Off
10 Paid Company Holidays with 2 floating holidays
401K Programs with employer match
Personal assistance programs for support in a healthy personal and work life
