Job Advertisement: Project Manager, Data Centre - Project & Construction Management Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager with expertise in Data Centre Project & Construction Management to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end data centre construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to mitigate issues.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage procurement processes, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and materials acquisition.
Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders, highlighting project milestones, challenges, and achievements.
Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in data centre construction or related industries.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Familiarity with data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, and network systems, is highly desirable.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are a plus.
A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
Day-to-Day
Oversee daily project activities, ensuring alignment with the overall project plan and objectives.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Facilitate team meetings to discuss project updates, resolve issues, and maintain momentum.
Review and approve project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and address concerns.
Track project performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for internal and external review.
