Job description
Project Manager (Cold Form Structural Engineering) (REMOTE) - Full Time
Location: Orlando, FL
What you will be doing:
Organize and manage structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining project budgets. Manage and review structural engineering drawings for assigned projects/work assignments including the preparation of plans, schedules, and details.
Review structural systems of primarily cold-formed steel framing for a variety of healthcare, commercial, retail, multi-family residential, industrial, and institutional buildings nationwide and review structural calculations for submittal.
Manage Engineers and CAD/BIM Technicians to produce shop drawings, calculations, and BIM models.
Assist with training and mentoring team members.
Communicate with clients and maintain project schedules and design budgets.
Help lead business development efforts for cold-formed projects to develop and manage a portfolio of clients.
Perform and lead the structural design of various building design projects. This includes development of structural design documents, calculations, and specifications.
Perform construction administration duties.
Experience you will need:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering.
Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in structural design of cold-formed steel building structures. Some experience with oversight is a plus.
Extensive knowledge of cold-formed steel design and strong working knowledge of AISI standards.
Ability to develop innovative solutions for complex problems.
Leadership mentality and ability to work well with others.
Professional Engineer Licensure required.
Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs including CFS Designer & RISA.
