About the Role
Locke Building is looking for an experienced Project Manager with extensive experience in excavation and leading ground-up projects. The job will include assisting in bidding excavation projects, creating excavation plans, managing employees and subcontractors, and overseeing the project.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of excavation and site preparation projects
Manage subcontractors, equipment operators, and on-site crews to ensure safe and efficient operations
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and progress reports, adjusting schedules as needed
Conduct site visits and inspections to maintain quality control
Coordinate equipment logistics, material procurement, and site grading activities
Requirements
3+ years of experience actually running equipment
Strong knowledge of earthwork and site development
Proven ability to manage crews effectively
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, site plans, and soil reports
Valid driver's license, ability to travel to job sites
Strong communication and leadership skills with a team-first attitude
Willing to work long hours when needed
