Role Description The Project Manager (Industrial Equipment) will oversee projects related to the procurement, delivery, and installation of industrial equipment, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. This full-time hybrid role is based in Richmond, VA, with some work-from-home flexibility for planning, coordination, and reporting tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, managing project schedules, tracking equipment orders, and addressing expediting needs to prevent delays. The Project Manager will monitor inspection activities, review documentation, and ensure compliance with specifications and safety requirements. The role also involves optimizing logistics, preparing status reports, communicating project updates to stakeholders, and proactively resolving issues to maintain smooth project execution.
Qualifications
Project management skills, including experience leading equipment-related or industrial projects and managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
Expeditor and expediting experience, with the ability to track orders, accelerate deliveries when needed, and coordinate with suppliers and vendors.
Inspection skills, including familiarity with quality checks, equipment specifications, and documentation related to industrial installations.
Logistics management skills, covering coordination of shipments, scheduling deliveries, and aligning transportation and storage with project needs.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on process efficiency.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Proficiency with project management tools and standard office software; experience with industrial or manufacturing environments is preferred.
Relevant education or training in engineering, industrial management, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
