Project Manager II – Master Scheduler

Pay- $75-$80/hr on W2
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager II with strong master scheduling, project planning, and financial management skills to support customer-facing project delivery initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a PMP certification, advanced Smartsheet expertise, and experience managing complex project schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.
This is a contract opportunity working directly with customers and internal project teams to build, maintain, and manage project plans and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through closure, following PMBOK methodologies.
Develop and maintain comprehensive master project plans, detailed project schedules, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
Utilize Smartsheet and other project management tools to track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and project progress.
Establish project scope, objectives, timelines, and change control processes.
Manage project budgets, labor and capital expenditures, cost analysis, margins, and financial reporting.
Monitor project performance against approved schedules and financial baselines.
Identify and manage project risks, maintain risk registers, and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
Communicate project status, risks, issues, and recommendations to management, customers, and stakeholders.
Coordinate with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are completed successfully.
Use Google Workspace and collaboration tools to maintain project documentation and support team coordination.
Required Qualifications
PMP certification.
4–7 years of project management experience.
Demonstrated experience developing and managing detailed master project schedules.
Advanced proficiency in Smartsheet, including schedule development and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of PMBOK project management methodologies.
Experience developing project plans, schedules, and WBS structures.
Experience managing project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
Proficiency with Google Workspace applications.
Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and deliverables.
Knowledge of 9-1-1 operations and public safety communications environments.
Familiarity with Police, Fire, and EMS organizations.
Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project management applications.
Experience supporting customer-facing projects, training events, or implementation initiatives.
