Salary Range: $100k – 140k

What You'll Do

Pharmaron is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead client-facing API programs at our Coventry, Rhode Island site.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex small-molecule programs across the development lifecycle-from early-phase development and clinical supply through technology transfer, GMP manufacturing, process validation, and commercial production.

Key Responsibilities

Lead API development, technology transfer, and GMP manufacturing project planning and execution.

Build and manage integrated project schedules, including milestones, dependencies, critical paths, resource assumptions, and forecasts.

Coordinate cross-functional teams across Process Chemistry, Manufacturing, Analytical/QC, QA, Supply Chain, EHS, Regulatory, Finance, and Business Development.

Establish clear deliverables, ownership, decision points, and readiness gates throughout the project lifecycle.

Identify schedule, capacity, and execution risks early and drive mitigation, escalation, and recovery plans.

Serve as a key project contact for clients and support project governance and status meetings.

Communicate timelines, progress, risks, and potential solutions clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

Own project scope, budgets, milestone commitments, and forecasts.

Assess the impact of scope changes and coordinate change orders in partnership with Finance and Business Development.

Support proposals and RFPs by developing realistic schedules, assumptions, and resource requirements.

Track and report project KPIs through site dashboards and quarterly reviews.

Support cross-site project execution and project closeout, including lessons learned.

Contribute to project management standards, templates, planning processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide project management support for site CAPEX and capability projects as assigned.

Maintain compliance with cGMP, EHS, DEA, site SOPs, and applicable training requirements.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific/engineering discipline.

7+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical API/small-molecule industry.

3+ years of formal project management experience.

Experience supporting programs across multiple stages of the API lifecycle, including early-phase development, PPQ/process validation, and commercial manufacturing.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams and manage complex schedules, priorities, risks, and deliverables.

Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to work directly with clients and internal technical teams.

PMP or equivalent formal project management certification is highly desirable.
