Job description
Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Traffic Signal Project Manager in our Transportation business unit in Salt Lake City, UT. This position requires 10+ years of experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Interact and communicate with clients, vendors and staff of all levels
Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs
Track multiple projects simultaneously to keep jobs on schedule and under budget
Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations
Manage traffic signal design and transportation operation projects
Prepare and write engineering and other reports
Maintain and develop strong client relationships
Develop business in the Utah region
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience working directly with the Utah Department of Transportation and local municipalities
Licensed professional engineer in Utah, preferred
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Experience using at least one CADD platform (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
Knowledge of traffic signal operations and equipment, ITS, and other traffic control devices and signal systems
Knowledge of at least one highway design package (OpenRoads, Geopak, or Civil3D)
Critical thinking and analysis
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must complete a background check
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. in Civil Engineering
SALARY RANGE:
Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $95,000 - $145,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
