Consumers Energy is Michigan's largest energy provider, providing natural gas and/or electricity to 6.8 million of the state's 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties. Location : This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday assigned to the Parnall Office located in Jackson, MI. Other locations may be considered.The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).

General Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Project Scheduler will perform routine project scheduling assignments, which require the creation and monitoring, and technical project scheduling knowledge of a engineering, procurement and Construction project (EPC). Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within area of responsibility. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Work on lower complexity projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain resource-loaded and cost-loaded project schedules to support workforce planning, forecasting, budget management, and project execution.

Perform tasks required to develop and maintain project schedules for the entire Life Cycle of a Project. Includes collecting actual quantities installed per schedules, assess progress data supplied by others, and visual inspection. Develop detailed engineering and construction schedules with construction management. Update the schedule forecast to reflect most current plans/requirements

Support Project Management through preparation and maintenance of project schedule forecasts and project schedules

Calculate/prepare various comparison visual management, reports, charts, and tables for project analysis

Interface with other cross functional organizations to provide project scheduling data for items such as sub contract change requests, bid comparisons, new work item estimates, and resolution of potential schedule/work problems

Provide project schedule analysis, with proactive scheduling recommendations

Other duties as assigned or may be necessary

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge and understanding of Primavera/P6 Skillset

Basic knowledge of general project scheduling, and schedule quality principles

Communicating in a project team setting

Education/Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business with 2 years of experience in applied planning and schedule engineering or equivalent working experience

(OR) Associate's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business with 4 years of experience in applied planning and schedule engineering or equivalent working experience

(OR) High School Diploma with 6 years of experience in applied planning and schedule engineering or equivalent working experience
