nSummary

nCHS Northwest in Port Angeles, WA is looking for a Propane Truck Driver/Service Technician to join our team at our new facility! This individual would be responsible for hauling propane to our local customers and also help with servicing and troubleshooting of propane systems. This is a M-F home daily role with weekend work as needed during our busy seasons. The ideal candidate would have their Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements and previous experience with handling propane and or servicing propane systems and the ability to work independently. nResponsibilities

nnnOperate a semi-tractor and tanker trailer to deliver hazardous energy-grade materials to customer sites in a safe, compliant manner.

nnComply with DOT regulations and company policies for safe driving, including route and hazard awareness.

n

nnLoad and unload products by connecting/disconnecting loading arms and hoses; follow all hazardous material handling and transfer safety procedures.

n

nnDeliver professional, customer-focused service during pickups and deliveries, coordinate with customers and internal teams.

n

nnPrepare delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs.

n

nnConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; submit maintenance reports and escalate repair needs and equipment issues promptly.

nnImmediately notify leadership of incidents, near misses, spills/releases, or safety concerns; execute required response and reporting procedures.

n

nnSupport related tasks such as equipment hookups, site readiness checks, and assigned duties

n nMinimum Qualifications (required)

nnnValid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)

n

nnValid Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required

n

nn2+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience

n

nnMust meet age requirement

n

nnAbility to read, write, and communicate in English

n

nnDemonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately.

n

n nAdditional Qualifications

nnnDemonstrated experience hauling hazardous materials

n

nnDemonstrated safety performance and consistent adherence to procedures in hazardous materials operations.

n

nnDemonstrated customer service and communication skills; interact professionally with internal teams and customers.

n

nnDemonstrated experience completing tanker product transfers (loading/unloading) and related documentation in a regulated environment.

n nPhysical Requirements

nnnAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

nnAbility to safely climb in and out of truck cabs and to the top of a tanker trailer

n

nnAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditions

n

nnAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in environments with regular exposure to hazardous materials.

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
