Job description
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 4 days onsite)
Type: Full-Time, Permanent/Direct Hire
Pay Range: $90,000 - $105,000 base salary plus 10% bonus
Benefits: Annual incentive and a benefits package to all full-time employees including medical, dental, vision, life insurance 100% paid by employer, 5% 401(k) retirement plan match, health savings accounts, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Property Accounting & Financials
Property-level financials quarterly or monthly.
Review property-level financials
Property updates (sale, refinance, partner buy-out, etc).
Track interest for the applicable entities
Fund-Level Support
Preparing investor reporting
Collect K-1s for the Fund tax returns
Monitor equity contributions, distributions, and cost basis changes
Prepare a weekly report on current bank balances for all bank accounts.
Process Improvement & Controls
Document standardized workflows to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Identify opportunities to streamline data flow
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance
CPA preferred
3-7 years of experience in property accounting, fund accounting, or real estate investment accounting
