Job description
A well-established commercial real estate firm is seeking a Property Accountant to join its growing, collaborative team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers valuable exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to take on a range of accounting and operational responsibilities, primarily utilizing Yardi. This is an excellent opportunity to build hands-on experience in financial transactions and reconciliations across a portfolio of real estate properties.
The ideal candidate will bring 1 - 3+ years of real estate/property accounting experience.
Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules for real estate properties.
Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including payables, receivables, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Support monthly and annual close processes, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
Assist with audits, financial analysis, and compliance with accounting standards and property agreements.
Qualifications:
1 - 3+ years of real estate/property accounting experience
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
Experience with Yardi, MRI, or QuickBooks
