Job description
Armed Guard Force PositionIn accordance with DHS protocols, the armed guard force is responsible for all aspects of security operations for the command, including the protection of personnel, property, facilities, and critical assets. This includes managing entry control points to ensure unauthorized individuals, vehicles, and equipment are effectively deterred and denied access.This role is ideal for armed security professionals, and those with prior military and law enforcement seeking to continue their service in a mission-critical environment. You will play a key role in safeguarding operations against threats such as theft, sabotage, civil disturbances, or other incidents that could disrupt continuity. Your experience, discipline, and situational awareness will directly contribute to maintaining a safe and secure facility.Compensation:Hourly Rate: $30.39 – $31.15/hr (depending on county)Health and Welfare: $5.66/hrTraining Rate: $18.00/hrResponsibilities:Provide professional armed security and access control servicesProtect government property, classified materials, and personnel from unauthorized access, theft, or damageMonitor and control all entry and exit points within assigned areasRespond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activityApply sound judgment and prior experience to identify and mitigate risksEnforce all security and safety regulations and report violationsMaintain a thorough understanding of all post orders and assigned dutiesComplete accurate, clear, and timely reportsPerform heavy work, including exerting significant physical force when necessaryStand or remain on post for extended periods, including 12-hour shiftsWork in a federal facility environment with frequent interruptions and varying activity levelsSit, stand, or walk for long durations depending on post assignmentWork outdoors in varying weather conditions and extreme temperaturesNavigate stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, and operational environmentsOperate in high-noise and potentially hazardous conditions (e.g., machinery, vehicles, firearms)Use protective equipment, including respirators if requiredAvailability for extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysTravel may be requiredPerform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component the United States Armed Forces.Be a minimum of 21 years of age.Must have a Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration, which bears the individuals name and social security number.Minimum of two (2) years of armed security experience; ORMinimum of one (1) year of full-duty law enforcement experience with a recognized agency; ORMinimum of two (2) years of honorable service in any branch of the U.S. Armed ForcesDemonstrated proficiency with a handgun and ability to meet all certification standardsAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, including report writingFamiliarity with securing facilities and/or vehicles in a controlled environmentHigh School diploma or GED equivalentAbility to pass background investigation, drug screening, and physical examinationAbility to meet MRPT suitability requirementsPhysically capable of performing all essential job dutiesBenefits:Constellis offers a comprehensive, total rewards package that includes competitive compensation and a flexible benefits package that reflects its commitment to creating a diverse and supportive workplace.Equal Opportunity Employer Race/Color/Sex/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Disability/Vet
