To achieve this aim, we are continually making innovations to improve products and processes.Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining ProtoTrak lathes to produce precision parts according to technical drawings and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of machining principles, proficiency in interpreting blueprints, and the ability to work independently to achieve production goals.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Produce precision quality parts machining a variety of materials to engineering specification (SS304, 316L, aluminum and a variety of plastics, etc.).Ability to read and interpret prints.Review Production Status Report and complete orders as needed.Perform own setups.Punch job in ERP systemVerifying final dimensions with print, by using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, fixtures and gauges.Perform preventative maintenance on shop equipment.Must understand and comply with all safety rules, Quality Management System and company policies.Promote customer focusQualificationsSkills:Program, set up, and operate ProtoTRAK lathes using conversational controlsSelect proper speeds, feeds, and tooling for various materialsFamiliar with conversational programmingFamiliar with the metric systemAbility to read and interpret printsExperience in lathe turningUse and proficiently apply precision measuring toolsCompetencies:Quick learner to become proficient with controls and creating plus editing conversational programsSense for precision and quality, ability to spot, measure, and deliver exact standards in both physical measurements (dimensional precision) and appearance (visible quality)Work independentlyHighly dependable with an excellent attendance record is requiredRequirements:3 to 5 years of experienceMust be a US citizen or a permanent residentRelocation assistance is not available for this positionEducation:High School Graduate or GED. Preferably from a vocational-technical high school, the completion of an apprenticeship program, or a community college/technical school training program.Work Environment:The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate in the manufacturing shop environment.In addition to competitive compensation, you will enjoy working in a well-lit, climate-controlled environment and be provided with company-paid uniforms.Additional InformationPosition Type: This is a full-time (non-exempt/hourly) position. Compensation ranges from $28 to $33 an hour, based on experience, plus a 15% second shift differential.
