Job description
MYgroup Provider Relations and Billing SpecialistThe MYgroup Provider Relations and Billing Specialist works closely with the Provider Relations Manager and the CFO by processing billing from MYgroup affiliate providers. The MYgroup Provider Relations and Billing Specialist is responsible for maintaining regular communication with affiliate providers regarding various issues (e.g., referral portal, billing, and recredentialing). The MYgroup Provider Relations and Billing Specialist assists with managing the day-to-day front office operations, scheduling clients, and responding to requests for mental health services in a caring and HIPAA-compliant manner. The MYgroup Provider Relations and Billing Specialist handles frequent interruptions and pivots rapidly between multiple tasks. The MYgroup Provider Relations and Billing Specialist works well under pressure, maintains professional courtesy, de-escalates tension, and follows policy while using creativity to solve problems in the moment.Essential Responsibilities:Support the daily operations of MYgroup provider relations and billing departments (e.g., processing reimbursement request)Assists with providing front desk coverage on multi-line telephone console: transferring calls, taking messages, scheduling clientsEstablish and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients and providersSupport clinical operations (e.g., file organization, manage supplies)Assist with data entry upon request for different departments within MYgroupDeliver professional customer service in person, over the phone, and via emailComply with HIPAA proceduresSupport the daily operations of MYgroupAdditional Duties and Responsibilities:Perform other duties as required.Skills:Professional phone presentationProfessional email communicationSelf-motivated and effective use of time managementComfortable working with a teamPossess high emotional intelligence to sense the needs of clients and cliniciansStrong communications, interpersonal and negotiating skillsKnowledgeable about HIPAA and mental health servicesDemonstrates flexibility as processes change to accommodate the needs of clients and staffProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat ProQualification:RequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalentAt least 2 years of experience in customer service activities, such as, but not limited to, answering phones, transferring calls, taking messages, and phone-based customer serviceOffice management skills, such as, but not limited to, organizing client data, filing client information, providing excellent communication, and developing efficient and effective processes (e.g., data entry and interpretation, client file management)Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn EAP softwarePreferredKnowledgeable about or highly familiar with HIPAA and mental health servicesRelevant experience in mental health practice or medical office setting encouragedComfortable working with a teamAble to multi-task and stay organized under stressful situationsPossess high emotional intelligence to sense the needs of clients and cliniciansDemonstrate flexibility as processes change to accommodate the needs of clients and staffSchedule:Full Time- 40 Hours per weekMonday- Friday- 8AM- 5PM to include some evening hours (e.g., Tuesday 10am-7pm and Wednesday 9am-6pm)Benefits:401K retirement plan with matching contributionsDiscounts on products and servicesPaid time off for holidays, vacation, and sick leaveEmployee Assistance ProgramLocation:Charlotte, NC- hybrid schedule with some in-office requirementsMYgroup is a full-service human capital consulting firm that enables people and organizations to thrive.
