Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Saratoga Springs, NY

Advance your nursing career with a travel assignment as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) in Saratoga Springs, NY. This opportunity is suitable for experienced mental health nurses seeking travel RN positions in New York.

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY 12866

Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Mental Health Unit

Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/3/2026)

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,780–$1,910 per week

Qualifications

Active RN license in the state of New York (NY)

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an inpatient mental health or psychiatric unit

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

De-Escalation training certification

Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Applicants must not reside in the following NY counties: Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, Albany

Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in an inpatient psychiatric/mental health setting

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote patient safety and recovery

Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors and ensure a safe environment

Accurately document patient care and progress using EPIC EMR

Participate in unit activities, including working every other weekend and holiday as scheduled
