Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Addiction Psychiatry (Outpatient)
nBaylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Addiction Psychiatry team in Temple, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, evidence-based care for adults experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders in a supportive outpatient setting.
nPosition Highlights
nnnOutpatient Addiction Psychiatry practice
n
nnMonday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
n
nnNo weekends
n
nnNo call responsibilities
n
nnPatient census: approximately 10-15 patients per day
n
nnCollaborative, multidisciplinary care environment focused on recovery and long-term wellness
n
n nKey Responsibilities
nnnConduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adult patients with substance use disorders
n
nnProvide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and manage treatment plans for patients in recovery
n
nnDiagnose and treat co-occurring mental health conditions
n
nnCollaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and care coordinators to support comprehensive patient care
n
nnProvide patient education on treatment options, recovery resources, and relapse prevention
n
nnMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
n
n nQualifications
nnnGraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
n
nnCertification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
n
nnLicensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN in the state of Texas
n
nnDEA license or ability to obtain
n
nnExperience or strong interest in Addiction Psychiatry or Substance Use Disorder treatment
n
nnCommitment to compassionate, patient-centered behavioral healthcare

nnnEDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
n
nnEXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
n
nnCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -

n nPsych-Mental Hlth Nrs-ANCC (MHN-BC)
nNurse Practitioner (NP)
nRegistered Nurse (RN)
nBasic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire or transfer.
