Job description
Job Title: Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner The Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner works with a team of professional social workers, clinicians, case managers, and others to ensure integrated care for adults experiencing serious mental illness. As a member of the client care team, the PMHNP will establish therapeutic relationships to facilitate client progress with treatment goals.
Qualifications: Master s Degree in Nursing along with the appropriate Nurse Practitioner certification required
Psych certification or candidate must be working towards psych certification
Unrestricted, current, and complete State of Vermont APRN license required (or ability to attain upon employment)
Experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, and co-occurring medical conditions required
Demonstrated current knowledge of psychiatric medications
Solid computer skills and familiarity with operating an Electronic Medical Record required
Ability to demonstrate compassion, sensitivity, and reasoning skills
Must have a valid driver s license and reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont
Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire
