Job description
Job Description Job Description Hiring Within 2 Weeks Flexible Schedule Spravato Training Provided Medication Management Spravato & Ketamine Children & Adults
Join a Practice Where Quality Psychiatric Care Comes First
At Compass of Hope, we reject the model of rushed 5-15 minute medication check-ins.
We believe excellent psychiatric care requires time, thoughtful assessment, clinical curiosity, and a genuine understanding of the whole patient. Our providers are encouraged to look beyond symptoms, consider potential medical contributors to psychiatric presentations, and develop plans that are clinically sound, individualized, and collaborative.
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our growing medical team. We are actively interviewing and hope to have the right provider join our team within the next two weeks.
This position is ideal for a PMHNP who values autonomy while also appreciating the support of a multidisciplinary team and strong administrative infrastructure.
The provider must be comfortable treating and prescribing for both children and adults.
Initial Schedule
We offer flexibility in building your overall schedule; however, the provider joining us will initially need to provide coverage for several established Spravato clinic hours.
Required starting availability:
Monday: 5:00 PM-7:30 PM - Spravato Clinic, Hooksett
Saturday: 8:00 AM-10:30 AM - Spravato Clinic, Hooksett
Tuesday & Thursday: 4:00 PM-6:00 PM - Spravato Clinic, Hampton
Scheduling outside of these clinic hours is flexible.
As additional providers join our medical team, there will also be opportunities to adjust or redistribute these clinic hours, allowing the schedule to evolve over time.
We want to create a schedule that works for both the provider and the needs of our patients.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication-management appointments
Treat children, adolescents, and adults
Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications safely and thoughtfully
Evaluate potential medical, developmental, environmental, and psychosocial contributors to psychiatric symptoms
Collaborate with therapists, medical staff, and other psychiatric providers
Participate in clinical consultation and team-based decision-making
Provide clinical coverage for our Spravato clinics
Participate in the care of patients receiving Spravato and intranasal ketamine following appropriate training
Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation
Provide appropriate medication follow-up and continuity of care
Spravato & Ketamine Experience Is NOT Required. We train all providers.
Compass of Hope provides Spravato and intranasal ketamine services, and comprehensive training and support will be provided for providers who do not already have experience in this area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatric provider interested in expanding their experience with interventional psychiatry and treatment-resistant mental health conditions.
Focus on Your Patients - We'll Help With the Rest
We have intentionally built administrative and medical support around our psychiatric providers so they can spend more of their time providing quality clinical care.
Our medical support team assists with:
Prior authorizations
Pending prescriptions and refill workflows
Medication-related administrative needs
Spravato clinic operations
Patient coordination
Medical records and documentation support
Other administrative needs that would otherwise take time away from patient care
We want our PMHNPs practicing at the top of their scope-not spending their day chasing paperwork.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, clinically thoughtful, and committed to providing high-quality psychiatric care.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree or higher from an accredited psychiatric nurse practitioner program
Current PMHNP-BC certification
Active, unrestricted New Hampshire APRN license
Active DEA registration
Minimum 1 years of experience practicing with independent licensure
Experience providing psychiatric medication management
Comfortable evaluating and prescribing for both children and adults
Strong clinical judgment and commitment to responsible prescribing
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Willingness to obtain licensure in Massachusetts and Maine , if eligible, to support our growing telehealth population
The Provider Who Will Thrive Here
We're looking for someone who doesn't simply ask, "What medication treats this symptom?"
We want a provider who asks:
What is happening with this patient, what might we be missing, and what treatment will actually help?
You may be a strong fit if you value:
Comprehensive psychiatric assessment
Evidence-based prescribing
Collaboration rather than practicing in isolation
Appropriate medical rule-outs
Continuity of care
Responsible prescribing practices
Ongoing professional growth
A workplace where therapists, prescribers, psychologists, medical staff, and administrative professionals are respected as members of the same team
Why Compass of Hope?
Compass of Hope is a growing, multidisciplinary behavioral health practice committed to providing thoughtful and accessible mental healthcare.
Our team includes therapists, psychologists, psychiatric providers, medical assistants, and administrative professionals working collaboratively to provide comprehensive care.
We are looking for a PMHNP who wants more than another prescribing position. We want someone who is interested in growing with the organization, helping strengthen our psychiatric services, and becoming an important part of our clinical team.
If you are passionate about providing thoughtful, patient-centered psychiatric care and want the flexibility of an evolving schedule with the support of a multidisciplinary practice, we would love to hear from you.
We are interviewing now with the goal of bringing the right provider onto our team within two weeks.
