Job description
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Part Time
Compensation: $63.90 - $71.00 per hour.
Department: Mental Health.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop plans of care, and evaluate effectiveness of interventions, including medication management and crisis intervention services.
Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with organization policies and procedures, state guidelines, and best practices, including medication education, seclusion/ restraint use, infection control, and risk management.
Provide individualized care sensitive to the age and developmental needs of each patient and participate in on‑call schedules and mandatory committees as required.
Adhere to established formularies for therapeutic regimens and utilize established procedures for admission, transfer, and specialty consultant referrals.
Assume responsibility and accountability for individual judgments and actions, while supporting standards of psychiatric care and providing input into committees and meetings as requested.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
Experience: At least two (2) years as a Nurse Practitioner; psychiatric experience preferred and/or experience in a residential healthcare institution.
Licenses / Certifications: Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice highly desired. Must maintain CPR certification and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required by contract.
Hours: 4 hours per week.
