nIndependence Health is in search of a licensed Psychiatrist specializing in mental health, responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients using medication, psychotherapy, and behavioral interventions. Key duties include conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medications, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient or outpatient settings. nnnExamine, Diagnose, treat , provide care to patients

nnDirect, coordinate or supervise patient care activities of nursing or support services
n
nnOrder and interpret the results of tests
n
nnPrescribe medication or treatment regimens and therapies
n
nnCollaborate with health care professionals to plan and provide treatment
n
nnDevelop medical treatment plans
n
nnConduct discharge planning
n
nnParticipate in inpatient treatment teams
n
nnConsultations
n
nnDocumentation in EMR
n
nnAdvise and educate patients and families on conditions and treatments
n
nnOther duties as assigned.

n nCompetency and Experience (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
nRequired Qualifications/Experience
nnnDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
n
nnFour (4) to seven (7) years of internship and residency training, pertaining to specialty field.
n
nnStrong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice.
n
nnStrong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
n
n nPreferred Qualifications/Experience
nnnTwo (2) to Four (4) years’ experience in psychiatry.
n
nnExperience in Healthcare setting.
n
n nLicense, Certification & Clearances
nnnCurrent medical license in the state of Pennsylvania.
n
nnSuccessful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA).
n
nnCertification by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

n nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work
