Comprehensive Psychiatric Services

Provide holistic psychiatric care encompassing diagnostic evaluations, medication management, suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, and psychotherapy. Your expertise will support Veterans through critical phases of their recovery journey.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Work closely within a multidisciplinary mental health team to address complex and diverse needs. This collaborative environment fosters comprehensive treatment plans and shared strategies for best outcomes.

Leadership Opportunities

There is potential to serve as a mental health team leader, coordinating specialty-clinic consultations and managing referral triage. Take on responsibilities that support the efficient and effective delivery of mental health services.

Contribute to National Center for Warrior Independence (NCWI)

Play a vital role in shaping the National Center for Warrior Independence at the West Los Angeles VA campus. Your involvement will help establish best practices and innovative approaches for Veteran recovery and independence.

Advance a National Initiative

Be part of a nationwide VA initiative that integrates health care, housing, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and supportive services. This collaborative approach aims to empower Veterans experiencing homelessness to achieve lasting independence.

Veteran Healthcare offers psychiatrists the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while caring for a diverse Veteran population with complex behavioral health needs. This position combines comprehensive clinical practice-including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, and psychotherapy-with the opportunity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Joining West Los Angeles VA now also provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of the National Center for Warrior Independence (NCWI) and help shape an expanding, mission-driven model of Veteran care.

Work Schedule: Full-time / On-site

Qualifications:

* Must be a U.S. Citizen

* Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine

* Current, full, and unrestricted license

* Completion of residency in an accredited core specialty

* Board Certified or Board Eligibl

Benefits and Features:

Salary Range: $265,000-$310,000

PTO: 50-55 days of PTO annually (26/13 days of annual/sick leave, 11 holidays,)

Up to $1,000 or more annually and up to 5 days paid absence for CME
