nEssential Duties:
nnnPlan, coordinate and manage the mental health program and services of the facility.
n
nnAccept referrals for inmate evaluations; make necessary judgments and recommendations.
n
nnCoordinate mental health referrals to other resources when deemed appropriate.
n
nnDevelop and conduct preventative mental health program inclusive of inmate training, counseling, recreation activities, discipline, orientation and other support services.
n
nnProvide staff training, both group and individual, in-staff counseling techniques.
n
nnPrepare and conduct special training programs for staff as scheduled.
n
nnMaintain and monitor confidentiality of inmates and their files; observe applicable HIPAA rules.
n
nnPromote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
n
n nQualifications:
nnnMaster's degree in psychiatry preferred; must be MD specialty in psychiatry and three (3) years related experience.
n
nnMust have a license or certification as required by the state of Ohio.
n
nnBoard certified in psychiatry.
n
nnA valid driver's license in the state of Ohio with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
n
nnMust successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.
