About The Role
Compensation: $229.5 - $255 / hour
Department: Mental Health
Key Responsibilities
Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and follow‑up care while exercising independent medical judgment.
Monitor psychotropic medications for effectiveness and side effects and adjust treatment as clinically indicated.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary leadership and care teams to ensure uniform psychiatric and mental health services.
Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and participate in required meetings, consultations, and on‑call services.
Support referrals, transfers, crisis intervention, and clinical collaboration with mental health and medical staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited university with specialty training in psychiatry.
Experience
Experience providing psychiatric services to an adult population.
Experience providing psychiatric services to an adolescent population preferred for youth facility clinical assignments.
Corrections experience preferred.
Licenses / Certifications
Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of practice.
Board‑certified or board‑eligible in psychiatry.
Current DEA registration (unless the CPO determines it is optional).
Current BLS certification.
Additional Details: This Psychiatrist will be overseeing residency rotations.
