Seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Psychiatrist licensed in Ohio to provide on-site psychiatric services within a correctional healthcare setting. This is a full-time opportunity with a weekday-only schedule and flexible start/end times based on facility needs. No on-call coverage is required.\ N
The selected providerwill typically see 12–16 patients per 8-hour shift. The assignment is expected to last at least 6 months and may lead to a long-term opportunity for the right candidate.\ N
Key Responsibilities \ N
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning\ N
- Conduct patient assessments, examinations, and clinical documentation using an electronic health record system\ N
- Manage psychiatric medications and treatment plans\ N
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing as needed\ N
- Refer patients for specialized treatment or additional care\ N
- Collaborate withinterdisciplinary healthcare teams\ N
- Participate in peer reviews and continuous quality improvement initiatives\ N
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, policies, and scope of practice requirements\ N
Qualifications \ N
- Active Ohio Medical License\ N
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry\ N
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR Certification\ N
- DEA Certification preferred (required prior to assignment start)\ N
- Strong communication and documentation skills\ N
- Correctional healthcare and behavioral health experience preferred\ N
