Psychiatrist – Outpatient Behavioral Health
Fort Walton Beach, FL
Position Overview
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join our growing behavioral health team in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. This is a standard outpatient, Monday–Friday position focused on providing comprehensive, patient-centered psychiatric care.
The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, and ongoing care while collaborating with primary care and behavioral health professionals. Schedule
Monday–Friday
Standard outpatient schedule
No weekends
No inpatient responsibilities
Primarily outpatient psychiatric care
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
Diagnose and treat a broad range of behavioral health and psychiatric conditions
Provide ongoing medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's clinical needs
Provide follow-up psychiatric care and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
Collaborate with primary care providers, behavioral health professionals, and other members of the care team
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Provide evidence-based, patient-centered psychiatric care
Participate in a collaborative approach to improving patient outcomes
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Active or eligible Florida medical license
DEA registration or eligibility
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
