Job description
ChristianaCare is seeking an Addiction Medicine Physician to provide clinical leadership and comprehensive addiction treatment services across inpatient and outpatient settings. This full-time position combines direct patient care, program oversight, collaborative care consultation, and academic engagement within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Position Highlights and Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate, evidence-based addiction medicine care for adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring medical conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Serve as a clinical leader for Addiction Medicine Services, supporting program operations, quality initiatives, and strategic growth.
Partner with Primary Care teams through a Collaborative Care Model to improve access to addiction treatment and integrated whole-person care.
Provide consultation and clinical coverage for inpatient Addiction Medicine services, including withdrawal management and initiation of medications for opioid and alcohol use disorders (MOUD/MAUD).
Support the continued growth of the Low Barrier Addiction Clinic (LBAC), expanding same-day access and rapid treatment initiation.
Collaborate with Behavioral Health, Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Primary Care, and community partners to enhance care coordination and recovery support services.
Build and maintain relationships with community treatment providers, recovery organizations, and referral partners.
Monitor clinical outcomes and operational performance to improve patient access, quality, and experience.
Participate in academic and teaching activities, including the supervision of trainees and support of Addiction Medicine Fellowship programs.

Qualifications:
BE/BC in FM, EM, or other base specialty
BE/BC and fellowship trained in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry required
Eligible for license in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and other applicable states

Annual Compensation Range $257,751.00 - $380,035.00
The above compensation range represents ChristianaCare s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting for full-time hours in the respective specialty. The actual compensation within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation the fair market value for physician services in the relevant specialty and the candidate s relevant experience, education, training, credentials, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. The compensation range listed may encompass various forms of applicable compensation for this position, including, but not limited to, productivity incentives, value-based incentives and other ancillary forms of compensation dependent upon operational factors such as hours worked, call coverage and other factors. ChristianaCare will offer compensation at an appropriate point within the above range or, less frequently, may offer a level of compensation outside the listed range as warranted by the circumstances.
