Job description
NaphCare is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our specialized THRIVE Jail-Based Competency Treatment (JBCT) Program at the San Diego Central Jail.
This is a unique opportunity for a psychiatrist who is interested in forensic, correctional, and/or serious mental health care and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
The JBCT program is a 30-bed adult male unit operated in partnership with the California Department of State Hospitals (DSH). The program provides psychiatric and mental health services focused on restoring competency to stand trial , helping address their mental health needs and prepare to move forward with their pending legal proceedings. We would like our patients can move forward in their lives in a healthier place. And for our providers, never any nights or weekends.
