Job Description
St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a full-time Inpatient-Geriatric Psychiatrist to join their long-standing, highly regarded behavioral health program at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY. This is a fantastic opportunity for psychiatrists with training or strong interest in geriatric psychiatry to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care for older adults in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, supported by system-level resources and a physician-friendly culture.
Job Description:
Provide inpatient psychiatric care for geriatric patients on a 20-bed Geriatric-Psychiatry unit
Collaborate with a full-time Clinical Coordinator/Social Worker trained in geriatric psychiatry
Work within a multidisciplinary team of therapists, counselors, case managers, psychiatrists, and nurse practitioners
Participate in 1:6 weekend call rotation for inpatient coverage
Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care addressing medical, psychiatric, and social needs of older adults
Coordinate care with system-level behavioral health leadership and resources
Support a stable, full-time psychiatrist presence on the Geriatric-Psychiatry unit
Not accepting Locums candidates
Not open to Visa Candidates
Candidates must be truly Board Eligible or Board Certified.
Candidates with lapsed Board Certification will not be accepted.
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive Salary Range of $318,449 - $354,957 per year, commensurate with experience
Starting Bonus: $25,000
Retention Bonus: $30,000
