Job Summary:
Our behavioral health practice is seeking a psychiatrist to supervise our resident physicians at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Qualified candidates:
Board certified or board eligible
Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Virginia
Superb communication skills and a passion for training the next generation of physician leaders
Opportunity for Inpatient, Outpatient, ER and Consult Coverage
Opportunity for leadership positions
Supervision of APP support is required

About LewisGale Medical Center and our Behavioral Health Services: LewisGale Medical Center has provided mental health services to the Southwest Virginia region for 50 years
Established First Responders Program that allows first responders to access behavioral health services directly through LewisGale without having to go through the ER.
Comprehensive care services include a fast-track option that allows patients to move quickly from the ER into our inpatient setting.
Direct Admission option for community providers to refer patients directly to our location without requiring prior medical clearance.
LewisGale Medical Center is a fully accredited, 506-bed acute care facility
