JOB REQUIREMENTS
Board: BC/BE
Licenses: Active New Jersey Medical License (or willingness to obtain)
Active DEA Certification
Certifications: BLS, CDS
Experience: Psychiatric emergency evaluation experience; adult and pediatric psychiatry experience
Other Qualifications: Resident teaching interest, ability to supervise psychiatry residents
Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations for adult and pediatric patients in crisis in the psychiatric emergency room/screening center.
Determine appropriate patient disposition including admissions, discharges, and observation determinations.
Provide medication management for psychiatric patients.
Supervise and teach psychiatry residents during overnight shifts.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced psychiatric emergency setting.
